Families with children fleeing life-threatening situations in Central America, Mexico, and elsewhere have asked for safety and protection in the United States. They are being allowed to enter, after being vetted by U.S. authorities to seek asylum. Border officials have determined these families fear for their lives if they return to their home countries, and are being released with court dates in their destination cities. San Diego has long been a receiving region for people seeking refuge from danger. When vulnerable refugees have asked for help, the community has responded with compassion. We are asking the community to respond again to assist these refugees to get to their destination cities. All donations are tax deductible and will be used to assist with travel costs.

Alliance San Diego is partnering with sister organizations assist these families in their hour of need, just as we have done with previous arrivals of refugees, asylum seekers and other families seeking protection.
