Alliance San Diego is proud to announce the hiring of Rey López-Calderón as the organization’s new advancement director, starting in January 2020. López-Calderón brings a wealth of experience in organizational development, fundraising, and community organizing to Alliance San Diego, which has emerged as a highly effective community empowerment organization over the last decade.

Alliance San Diego is thrilled to welcome civil rights activist and a leading Sikh American voice Valarie Kaur as the keynote speaker for the 32nd annual All Peoples Celebration, which honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Alliance San Diego was in DC last week with our partners from the Southern Border Communities Coalition (SBCC). It was a critical time to be in our nation’s capital as the Supreme Court took up DACA and the cross-border shooting of Sergio Adrian Guereca Hernandez.

We are committed to getting everyone counted in the Census and are looking for people who can help us reach hard-to-count communities. We have been running an outreach program for weeks now, with canvassers talking to community members door to door, and over the phone, to encourage their participation.
